XII Polvorón Race
December 27th 2023
Last December 21st we held our Polvorón Race, (it's number 12!) with a really 🌞🌞🌞 day, what helped to have a wonderful morning 👏👏👏 .
Before giving the awards, we donated all the food from this year Solidarity Campaign and from the registration to the race: 912 Kilos!
Like last year, we hosted or future students coming from CEIPs "Blas Infante" & "Montealegre", as well as a selection of 1ºESO students from del IES "Seritium", who, apart from having a great time (we guess😊), also got some prizes in the raffle 🎁.
Because of the Christmas time 🎄🎉🎇, we had a great selection of delicacies 🍥🍪🍭🍬, though they were not to be touched 😅.
A box full of Lindor bonbons, liquor-filled, but they hadn't drunk for sure🍷, as it was quite early; of huge MonChèris, not recommended for those with a sweet tooth 🦷🦷, (as we don't know the consequences of biting the bosses😁), and a great variety of "mantecados" "La Savateña", with lots of flavours: 🍫, 🍊, olive oil (supposedly ecologic), cinnamon, some sushi-fussion... And also a full basket of British sugar candies🍬🍥 of all sizes and types!
We also got a giant version of Almax (the life and soul of the party), really appropriate for the excess of sugary things.
Apart from all this abundance of carbohidrates, we had some healthy 🥑🥑🥑, though they had a very strange 🏀 seed 😉.
We also realised that Alice in Wonderland and its characters 🎩🃏❤♠ ♦ were around (they just walked, since they were almost the last to finish the race). And, despite it's holiday time, we didn't ride on the roller coaster🎢 that we saw in the race (how dizzy! 4 hours spinning!). But we did see some minions, Mr. WorldWide, (x3 😂), SpongeBob, accompanied by Patrick Star and Sandy Cheeks...
There was time for Art in the Polvorón Race, as the 
picture was loaned Prado Museum for this special occasion 😅. To prevent it from being stolen, we had two
druids who would have saved it with a magical spell!
There were more guests: some elfves, a Rubik cube, some Pikachu, some 🤶🎅... and many other we don't remember right now😥.
Luckily, we had some huge mops, both musical 🎵 y
French 
to clean all the mess up (in the same way our students do after breaktime😊)
This year, we have to give an earful 👂👂 to the girls in 2º and 3º de ESO, as they barely participated in the race 😞. Come on, girls, wat happened? Running is so healthy!
